Thyroid Disease Sweating

Excessive Sweating Help?

I am in middle school, almost in high school. Just about a year ago, I have started to sweat. A LOT. And not just when I work out. I’ll leave my house and be at the mall or school or something and I’ll just Sweat Alot. And in the past I have tried to put on sweaters, but I live in Florida so it is a bad option… haha. I do wear deoderant.
Im not sure but I think it might have to do with my thyroid. Its some sort of disease that runs in my family or something. I am also tired alot. I just want the sweating to stop so is there something I could do to make it stop? Ive heard about the “home remedies” but I have heard they arent the best. Thanks

Which one of the following glands secretes hormones without the use of duct?

Likely answers:
A. Sweat glands.
B. Lacrimal glands.
C. Pituitary glands.
D. Salivary glands.

i agree, it’s the pituitary gland. it’s an endocrine gland. (glands without ducts are called endocrine glands. since they don’t have ducts, they secrete their products directly to the blood stream surrounding that gland.)
sweat glands, lacrimal glands (for tears), and salivary glands all have ducts, so they’re called exocrine glands.
