Manage Stress In Order To Reduce Excessive Underarm Sweat!

Virtually every person on this Earth has been in a stressful situation before. More than likely, during that stressful situation, we started to sweat. Even though this is a natural reaction for our body, many times stressful situations lead to an excessive amount of underarm sweat which in turn leads to a lack of self-confidence and an extreme amount of embarrassment. These factors lead to a poor social life, something no one wants to have. Excessive sweat is an extremely common problem, but not many people know that one of the main solutions to the problem is simple; all you have to do is stay calm.

Staying calm during times of stress or intense nervousness starts with a healthy diet and exercise. A healthy body helps a healthy mind, which leads to a healthy amount of sweat leaving your body. Improving ones diet can lead to a decrease in sweat during stressful situations. The most important factor of reducing excessive underarm sweat during stressful situations is having a clear mind. The more you think about sweating, the more you will actually sweat. It will take time and practice, but you should be diligent in your attempts to completely forget about your sweating problem. This is the key factor for many people in fixing their excessive underarm sweat. If you can keep your mind clear, you WILL NOT sweat. Thinking about sweating just leads to you sweating even more than you already are. A simple technique that can help you learn to forget about sweating is to wear a jacket or a light windbreaker, which shields your underarms from view. Knowing that nobody can see whether you have pit stains or not can boost your self-confidence, and help make you forget about your sweating problem. This was one of my main resolutions for fixing my own sweating problem.

Here is a quick checklist you can run through in your mind during a stressful situation that should help you keep calm:

1. Take a deep breath.

2. Picture yourself in your mind resolving the situation at hand successfully

3. Be grateful to learn from the situation

4. Grin and bear it.

This may seem like a very, very basic checklist, but it works. Give it a shot. You have nothing to lose.

Do your Armpits Sweat Excessively?

Control armpit sweating and be confident of yourselves. People have tried many methods to control their armpit sweating problem and have had mixed results as some have been able to control the sweating while some have clearly backfired. But here you can read about 5 ways on how to prevent excessive underarm sweating that have found success with many. To control the problem of sweaty armpits there are many methods and remedies available ranging from drastic surgeries to really simple things like changing diet that can be really helpful. But all you have to do is to follow the below mentioned methods to stop the excessive sweating if you are looking for a solution to combat the underarm sweating and unpleasant body odor

Food and Diets

As food plays an important role in body odor and sweating, there are a few methods that can help in getting rid of sweaty armpits. Simple remedies include eating fruits and drinking lots of water to detox the body. People suffering from excessive armpit sweating should avoid eating spicy foods like Indian or Thai in order to minimize the effect of such spicy food in the body. And also people who are overweight should go for a healthy diet that will slim them down as it has been shown in medical studies that those people who have excessive fat in their body are more vulnerable to the troubles of excessive sweating of the armpits, palms and soles of feet.

Antiperspirants

Commonly a person who suffers from excessive underarm sweating should go for antiperspirants first as they could help in stopping the armpit sweating. Most of the good antiperspirant brands contain aluminum based chemical formulations such as aluminum chloride that has the ability to control hyperactive underarm sweat glands and also they help in blocking sweat from coming out of the pores.

Oral Medications

In those cases where antiperspirants are found to be a failure doctors would prescribe the use of certain oral medications like beta-blockers that can help you control the sweating. However those who use this must be aware that these medicines like any other could have certain side effects and may not be very effective in the long run.

Botox Treatment

Botox is considered to be another effective method for preventing excessive underarm sweating. This method involves injecting neurotoxins around your armpits which will help in stopping the nerves from stimulating the sweat glands from producing sweat. Though this method is effective it is only a temporary solution and need to be repeated after every 6 to 7 months.

Surgery

In some of those extreme cases where none of the above said treatments is effective in controlling the excessive sweating a doctor would recommend endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) surgery. ETS involves the clamping or the removal of the sympathetic nerves that signal axillary sweat glands to produce sweat. When these nerves are cut or blocked with clips the sweat glands stop receiving signals to produce sweat. This is only a last resort treatment owing to the risks and side effects associated with it including compensatory sweating from other parts of the body mainly the back, lower legs and thighs.

How to Stop Sweating Through a Bra

Sweating is a natural body function, however why do some people sweat more than others? Sweating is necessary, its purpose is to control and maintain our body temperature. Sweating is normal and completely necessary. Sweat, which is also called perspiration, is a secretion of fluids that is composed mostly of water. In this particular case you are sweating excessively in one area of your body.

The first question is why does this happen? Why do I sweat more here rather than in different areas of my body? To clarify the medical term for extreme sweating is called “hyperhidrosis” or what is more commonly known as excessive sweating.

The nervous system which is controlled by the brain makes a decision where and how much to sweat, this is different for different people. Each of us can sweat excessively in different areas of our bodies for example hands, feet, or back etc. This is also true for those who do not suffer from excessive sweating. So when you sweat in one location over another it occurs because this is a more effective sweating gland for you.

Basically here is what happens when excessive sweating occurs. The Sympathetic Nervous System goes into overdrive. It is not completely understood or known what exactly causes excessive sweating. With that said there are a few indicators.

It has been noted that people sweat less at night, exercise is highly recommended for people with “hyperhidrosis” for less sweating afterwards. Other factors that can lead to excessive sweating are smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, having too much salt in your diet, and to top it off eating too many sweets. All of the above can increase sweating. Now for the shocker, a healthy diet can actually reduce sweating.

The reduction in sweating by avoiding the above happens because you reduce the stimulus to your nervous system, hence keeping your muscles and mind relaxed so your body feels that it doesn’t need to sweat due to an overactive nervous system. The reality is this. You can implement different techniques to stop excessive sweating. However remember there is no one method that fits all.
