Do I need to sweat to lose weight? Does sitting in a Cold Room help burn energy?

Ive decided to lose weight so i took up jogging. I jog 2 miles every day. But now ive noticed something. I jog lightly, but i pick my knees up, about waist high. On the first week and a half, i was sweating like a pig on the first 300 ft, but now, on my third week, a whole mile wont even make me sweat and by the end of my two mile run, i probably only lost only 1/4th cup of sweat.

And also ive noticed something. . . When you are cold, your body needs to generate heat in order to keep warm. Does that count as burning calories? or is it just so little it wont make a difference?

technically yes it does cuz ur body is trying to heat itself. but its so few in cals that its pointless. u dont really need to sweat to lose weight but when ur exercise i hope u sweat haha. instead of jogging 2 miles a day take up interval training. its more effective than just running a distance at a certain pace. interval training makes u work harder every time u do it so your gaining something just like weightlifting. but if u just run 2 miles a day at the same pace ur body will get used to it and not give up cals as fast as it used to.

Picture your sweat as fat coming off ur body….when u starting it came off u fast but now since ur used to it its slowed down. but with interval training u will be sweating more and more each time u do it.
anyways heres what i do.
warm up for 5 min….jog
sprint for 1min as hard as you can..than rest for 2min (i usally rest for 30 sec than jog the 1min 30 sec)
than do another sprint and repeat the rest. in the end u should do about 6 sprints but hey it depends on the physically condition ur in. so do as much as u can.
than cool down for 5 min….walking.
i usally go to a football or soccer feild to do this so its easier on my joints.

and about the whole environment thing. ppl in cold climates have more body fat than people in hot climates.
