Rubbing Alcohol Sweat

Rubbing Alcohol Sweat
I was lying on a white leather sofa with a black shirt and now the sofa is stained grey! How can I get it out?

Please help!! This is not my sofa and i’m trying to fix it. I couldn’t believe what had happened b/c I was lying there cold under a blanket. It’s not like I was sweating and the color leaked off. It’s been about 3 weeks since it happened and i’m hoping it’s not too late to fix it. I tried water & soap right away, did nothing. Then I tried a little rubbing alcohol, did nothing. Then I tried some nail polish remover, did a little something, but not much!! Then I tried saddle soap, did nothing. I’m getting concerned. White leather sofas are NOT practical. Any advice is appreciated :) Thanks for your time in reading this!

Egads! I believe the advice above is well intended, but I think any of those cleaners will ruin the leather further by removing the top layer. Leather is a natural product and has been permanently preserved during the tanning process. Saddle soaps, oils, abrasive cleaners, soaps, furniture polish, varnish and ammonia will kill the finish and will absorb into the leather.

Try a very mild solution of Ivory soap and clear, lukewarm water. Apply the soap to a clean wet sponge and wash, then rinse well. Let it air dry naturally. (Ivory is not actually a true soap, it is synthetic.)

Go to a reputable shoe repair store, and ask them what they would recommend. They generally sell leather cleaning products.
